這首歌在英國單曲榜拿到冠軍，美國拿到第三名，但 Chris de Burgh 一生在英美單曲榜拿到前十名的歌可能不超過五首，他實際上在歐洲及南美都比在英美紅的多，頗奇怪的現象。他父親好像是外交官，Chris de Burgh 祖籍愛爾蘭，但是在阿根廷出生，好像也曾跟著父親在歐洲周遊，後來才回愛爾蘭定居。
