Spirit 是美國的前衛搖滾團體。他們很短命，只發過三張專輯 (1968~1970)，後來就消失了，我對他們也不熟。

很多人說 Led Zeppelin 那首搖滾國歌 Stairway To Heaven 的木吉他是抄襲 Spirit 的 Taurus，各位看倌 (聽倌) 認為呢？據說 Led Zeppelin 團員們從未針對此事發表任何說明。但比較要命的，也是確實的消息是，Led Zeppelin 的團員們和 Spirit 的團員們是互相認識的，1968年 Spirit 的巡迴演出就曾邀 Led Zeppelin 的團員們前往欣賞，在現場他們也有演出 Taurus。

Led Zeppelin 推出 Stairway To Heaven 之後，Spirit 的團員接受訪問時曾表示：「其實我們不會很在意此事，如果有先打聲招呼的話，我們很樂意將東西提供給他們使用...」，還是很在意嘛，酸酸的喔！

這首便是有搖滾樂國歌之稱的 Stairway to Heaven，它好聽自不在話下 (以搖滾迷的角度來看啦)。它有一特點，就是很容易為人接受，曲子以清靜悠揚的木吉他和笛子開場，在八分多鐘的曲長中逐漸醞釀氣氛，從一開始的沈靜慢慢發展到最後的狂爆激動，這種循序漸進的方式很容易帶人進入情況，即使有「搖滾樂都很吵」的先入為主觀念的話也不會被這首歌嚇跑。

Led Zeppelin 中我最喜歡鼓手 John Bonham，他打鼓真是世界好聽的，受不了。這首 Stairway to Heaven 一直鋪陳了四分多鐘鼓才加進來，那一起頭的鼓聲真是天籟之音啊！後段激動的部分電吉他的音色真是迷人，還有點詭異，好奇怪的聲音，呵呵，好聽。主唱的狂吼配上鏗鏘有力的鼓聲更是棒極了。最後曲子將結束之際情緒很迅速的收起來，等主唱唱出最後一句歌詞時已經沒有任何樂器而成為清唱，神來之筆！
