這首 The Power Of Love 後來有很多歌手翻唱過，如 Laura Branigan、Air Supply、Celine Dion 等等，一個比一個大牌，所以很多人都不知道原唱是英國歌手 Jennifer Rush。而且 Jennifer Rush 這歌只在英國走紅，在美國成績慘澹，在吃美國奶水長大的台灣就更容易被遺忘。

當年 Jennifer Rush 的 The Power Of Love 在英國拿下排行榜冠軍，著實走紅了好一陣子。當時余光正好去英國，聽到這首歌很喜歡，就買了唱片帶回台灣並在自己的廣播節目播放，造成一股轟動，使這首歌到處傳唱，Jennifer Rush 在台灣也稍稍打下知名度。日後余光每每提到這歌或提到 Jennifer Rush 總帶著一股驕傲的興奮感，因為那陣子這首歌在台灣走紅的確是因為余光的推動。

不過世事變化很快，不過隔了兩三年，更紅的歌手 Laura Branigan 翻唱了這首歌，Jennifer Rush 的版本就很快的銷聲匿跡。新世代的樂迷們更是一直以為這首歌是 Celine Dion 原唱。
