唸國中時，隨身聽產品剛上市沒多久 (卡帶的)，當時首先帶動風潮的是 Sony 的 Walkman 系列，就是 Sony 發明這詞，幾乎變成隨身聽的代名詞。
當時有位同學搶先買了隨身聽，他首先就是放 Laura Branigan 的這張 Branigan 2 來聽。即使十幾二十幾年後，他還是津津樂道當初第一次聽隨身聽的感覺：「哇塞，Laura Branigan 的 Find Me 就從我耳邊唱出來，好震撼，Find Me 實在有夠好聽！」
